Job summary

Farmers District 40 is seeking an Insurance Sales Representative to join our agency team. You will generate new business, assess clients' needs, and recommend Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial coverages to protect what matters most.

You'll receive training, mentoring, and opportunities for advancement, with base salary plus uncapped commissions, plus bonuses. Flexible scheduling and the support of the Farmers Insurance brand help drive your success.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales, customer service, or insurance experience preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Confidence making outbound calls and having sales conversations.
• Willingness to learn and apply coaching.
• Licensed or willing to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business by identifying prospects, conducting outreach, and following up with leads.
• Meet with customers to understand their insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
• Sell and cross-sell insurance products including Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial policies.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.
• Work toward individual sales goals and contribute to agency growth.
• Follow up with quotes, prospects, and existing customers to identify additional opportunities.
• Stay current on insurance products, services, and compliance requirements.
• Use CRM tools to organize leads, follow-ups, customer information, and policy activity.
• Participate in team meetings, sales training, and strategy sessions.
