Job summary

Markel Corporation in the United States is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to be the first point of contact for customer insurance questions and to deliver quality service that builds rapport and renewals. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus.
• Property/Casualty Insurance License preferred but not required
• 2 or more years of insurance sales/service experience preferred
• Remote working experience a plus
• Solid computer, grammar, and multi-tasking skills
• US Work Authorization required

Responsibilities

• Work diligently to find resolution to customer concerns and elevate to appropriate level when necessary.
• Convey information efficiently, effectively, and appropriately to meet the needs of the customer.
• Strive for first call resolution to provide best in class service.
• CSRs are required to stay current and knowledgeable of all procedures to ensure department standards and guidelines are met.
• Call types range from answering first notice of loss claims calls, taking payments, reinstatements, billing questions, online reset passwords etc.
