Job summary

Security First Insurance in Rapid City is seeking a customer-focused Insurance Customer Service Representative to service existing accounts, assist with policy sales and renewals, and issue certificates of insurance. You will respond to customer inquiries and build lasting relationships.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior insurance or customer service experience preferred, and a Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous insurance, customer service, sales, or related experience preferred.
• Active Property & Casualty license preferred, or the ability to obtain required licensing.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to clients by answering questions, resolving concerns, and supporting policy-related needs.
• Quote, process, and service insurance policies for new and existing customers.
• Issue certificates of insurance and maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Support agency growth through referrals, relationship-building, and cross-selling opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, agency procedures, and documentation requirements.
