UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry seeks a Benefits Coordinator-Intermediate to support clinical operations with patient access and insurance coordination. You verify eligibility, obtain authorizations, answer questions, and assist with financial counseling while ensuring smooth scheduling and a positive patient experience.

You will serve as a resource for staff on insurance rules, maintain accurate documentation, and help resolve issues that affect care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical insurance processes including eligibility verification, authorizations, and referrals.
• Strong analytical skills to review insurance coverage and resolve access issues.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate clinic schedules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, EMR, and scheduling systems.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Verifies patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Obtains required authorizations and referrals for services and procedures.
• Serves as a resource to clinic staff regarding insurance and benefit requirements.
