Farmers Insurance is seeking an entrepreneurial and motivated Agent in Training in Michigan to gain hands-on experience in sales, client relationships, agency operations, and business development. The role offers paid training that transitions into a competitive base salary plus commission and performance bonuses, with potential remote work during training.

Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain Michigan Property & Casualty and Life, Accident & Health licenses; free pre-licensing

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work in-office in Michigan; remote options also available
• Active licensing in Michigan Property & Casualty and Life, Accident & Health required or willingness to obtain
• Free pre-licensing education available to help meet state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or prior sales/customer service experience preferred
• Strong interest in sales, business development, and long-term career growth

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through a mix of inbound and outbound sales activities (phone, text, email, and virtual outreach)
• Build a consistent sales pipeline with cold and warm outreach to prospective customers and referral sources
• Follow up on leads and inquiries to identify coverage needs and close opportunities
• Meet customers in person, by phone, or virtually to review coverage and provide tailored insurance solutions
• Deliver excellent service by handling policy changes, renewals, and claims support
