The Hilb Group, LLC is seeking an Associate Account Manager for our Madison, AL office. This in‑office position supports Account Managers, handles client inquiries, and processes insurance related documents with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in insurance or admin support, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and can prioritize multiple deadlines. A P&C license or plan to obtain one is required within a set timeframe.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in insurance, customer service, or administrative support.
• Commercial insurance exposure is preferred.
• Property & Casualty Insurance License required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; agency management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Managers servicing accounts.
• Respond to routine client inquiries regarding policies, certificates, billing, and coverage changes.
• Prepare and issue certificates of insurance, binders, and endorsements.
• Process policy changes, renewals, and cancellations in agency management systems.
• Gather underwriting information and application materials.
• Maintain accurate client files in accordance with agency procedures.
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory and carrier standards.
• Support internal quality control processes.
• Assist with submission preparation and carrier follow-up.
• Track renewal timelines and ensure documentation is processed.
• Review policies for accuracy and request corrections.
