Job summary

The Hilb Group, LLC in Hartselle, AL is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to join our office-based team. You will be the primary client relationship manager for an assigned book of business, handling policy changes, billing, endorsements, and renewals while coordinating with carriers.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in customer service or sales within the P&C insurance space, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well with a team in an in-office setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the p&c insurance industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate via phone or email.
• Self-directed with good decision making and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage an assigned book of business as primary client relationship manager for account servicing and maintenance.
• Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes and general insurance questions.
• Handle billing, service and endorsement requests and process necessary paperwork.
• Act as liaison between customer and carrier to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.
• Renewal/expiration list management with review of loss information and renewal pricing negotiation.
• Maintain knowledge of all company systems and offerings.

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Hartselle, AL. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage an assigned book of business acting as the primary client relationship manager with responsibility for overall account servicing and maintenance
• Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes and general insurance questions as related to lines of business
• Handle billing, service and endorsement requests and process necessary paperwork associated with requested
• Act as liaison between customer and carrier working closely with both to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship
• Handle renewal/expiration list for assigned book of business, reviewing loss information, obtaining updated information, renewal applications, and negotiating renewal pricing when necessary
• Maintain knowledge of all company systems and offerings

Qualifications

• Minimum High School degree
• 3+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the p&c insurance industry
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate via phone or email
• Superior listening skills and ability to probe customer needs and opportunities through question-based selling and retention techniques
• Self-directed with good decision making and time management skills
• Proficient PC skills; knowledge of insurance software including AMS360
