Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks an Instrumentation Lead Coordinator to manage sterilization, preparation, assembly and delivery of surgical instruments across multiple sites. The role coordinates tray movement, standardizes instrument trays, and monitors OR schedules to ensure timely supplies.

It also serves as a clinical liaison between ORs and CSS offsite locations and mentors CCS Technicians. Experience in sterile processing, healthcare settings, and strong communication skills are essential

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; CRCST or CSPDT preferred upon hire or within 6 months.
Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiar with Tecsys and Censitrac tracking systems.
CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or within 6 months; relevant sterile processing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, and/or clean clinic or healthcare equipment for surgeries and procedures.
Ensure sterilized instruments are packaged and delivered aseptically to use sites.
Serve as clinical liaison between operating rooms and CSS offsite locations; track and allocate sterilized instrumentation.
Coordinate tray movement logistics and standardize instrument trays across the enterprise.
Monitor OR schedules to ensure instrumentation is processed and delivered without delay.
Provide clinical orientation for CCS Technicians and Instrumentation Coordinators and educate on standards and procedures.
