Job summary

The Ohio State University University Hospital seeks a Senior Instrumentation Coordinator to lead and coordinate daily operations between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments, ensuring efficient case flow and proper instrument care. Responsibilities include overseeing instrument trays, decontamination, sterilization, and enterprise-wide standardization.

Certification (CRCST or CSPDT) due at hire or within six months, and the ability to build strong customer service relationships

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED required; at least two years of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
CRCST or CSPDT certification required on hire or within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Lead daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments to facilitate efficient case flow.
Oversee case cart assembly, decontamination, and sterilization/high level disinfection of reprocessed surgical inventory.
Organize instrument trays on a global level to service the Enterprise; act as clinical liaison between OR and CSS sites.
Procure, standardize, and arrange instrument trays across multiple sites; support process improvements and customer service.
