Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Instrumentation Coordinator to manage sterilization, assembly, and delivery of surgical instruments across the Enterprise. You will ensure aseptic packaging, track sterilized equipment, and support standardization of instrument trays for all sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Operating Rooms and Sterile Processing, overseeing case cart assembly, and driving process improvements while maintaining high safety and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CBSPD certification required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Experience with sterile processing and instrument tray standardization a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between Operating Rooms and Sterile Processing Departments to facilitate case flow.
• Oversee decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical inventory.
• Procure and organize instrument trays across the Enterprise.
• Serve as liaison between CSS offsite locations and ORs.
• Support process improvement and customer service initiatives.
