Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Instrumentation Lead Coordinator to oversee sterilization, assembly, and delivery of surgical instruments across the enterprise. You will ensure aseptic packaging and safe instrument reuse for surgeries, exams and procedures while coordinating with CSS at multiple sites.

You will act as a clinical liaison between Operating Rooms and offsite reprocessing locations, lead tray movements, standardize instrument sets, and monitor OR schedules to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in instrument processing or hospital sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, and clean clinic equipment.
• Ensure aseptic packaging and delivery of sterile instrumentation to point of use.
• Serve as liaison between Operating Rooms and offsite CSS locations for tracking and allocation.
• Coordinate tray movement and standardize instrument trays across the enterprise.
• Monitor OR schedules to prevent delays in instrumentation delivery.
• Provide clinical orientation for CSS Technicians and Instrumentation Coordinators.
