Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to design electrical and instrumentation systems in our Beaumont, TX office. You will perform all design aspects, prepare calculations and sketches, and collaborate with disciplines to deliver projects on schedule.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of NEC. PE registration is preferred, with hands-on CAD experience and field startup support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• Requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical/instrumentation engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC and installation details of bulk materials/equipment.
• Ability to size conduit/wire and perform voltage drop calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete designs for electrical and instrumentation assignments.
• Produce estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Create detailed design calculations and sketches for construction.
• Check calculations for code conformance and accuracy.
• Provide field data, startup support, and construction assistance.
• Develop installation documents from vendor drawings and design standards.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure timely project completion.
• Develop construction specifications and cost estimates.
