Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our Pasadena office. The role focuses on complete design of complex electrical and instrumentation projects, applying advanced engineering techniques under general supervision.

Requires 6+ years of industrial experience and a strong NEC background. Ideal candidates hold a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with PE registration preferred and are capable of leading small to mid-sized projects, preparing detailed construction docs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering required
• Professional Engineering registration highly preferred
• 6+ years of relevant industrial electrical/instrumentation experience
• Strong NEC knowledge
• Ability to perform lighting level calculations
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection
• Ability to perform voltage drop calculations
• Knowledge of electrical installation design and CAD drafting standards

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex electrical and instrumentation engineering projects
• Lead smaller projects and coordinate with other staff and discipline lead
• Prepare constructible designs and material takeoffs
• Develop installation specifications and diagrams
• Provide guidance to less experienced engineers and drafters
• Support startup and field data collection as needed
