Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks an Electrical Engineer to perform complete electrical and instrumentation designs for diverse projects. The role involves working under general supervision, coordinating with drafting and other disciplines, and providing field support during startup. Ideal candidates hold a B.S.

or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, with 3+ years of relevant industrial experience, NEC knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for lighting and power applications.
• Ability to perform voltage drop calculations and route conduit/cable tray.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete electrical/instrumentation design for projects under general supervision.
• Produce installation details, MCC single lines, layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Review vendor drawings and construction submittals for conformance.
• Provide field support, site data gathering and startup assistance.
• Develop construction specifications and cost estimates for projects.
