Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and document electrical and instrumentation systems for varied projects. The role involves calculations, sketches, and material take-offs under general supervision, with field support and startup assistance as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of relevant industrial experience, with NEC knowledge and CAD proficiency (AutoCAD or MicroStation).

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC and construction materials and equipment installation details.
• Ability to produce electrical installation documents from vendor drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete electrical and instrumentation designs and calculations under supervision.
• Produce design sketches, material take-offs and detail drawings for construction.
• Support drafting and resolve layout issues, supplying necessary sketches.
• Review vendor drawings for electrical/instrumentation input and prepare specifications.
• Provide field support, data collection, and startup help when required.
