Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrumentation-Electrical (I&E) Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex instrument and electrical systems including PLCs and DCS controls. The role requires an associate degree and five years of industrial maintenance experience, with strong skills in electrical drawings, PLCs/CNCs, and power distribution.

On-site work with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in industrial electrical/electronic technology or related certification.
• Five years of industrial Instrumentation-Electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic drawings and schematics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs and CNCs.
• Knowledge of 480 V MCC and Power Distribution Systems.
• Basic programming knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics desired.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills desired.
• Excellent English reading/writing/speaking abilities.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficient computer skills to run requisite software.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot critical equipment on failure.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC electronics.
• Use electronic test equipment (VOM, oscilloscope, megger, calibrators).
• Read/interpret electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation drawings and schematics.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair PLC and/or DCS hardware, software and controls.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC motors and control circuits.
• Maintain MCC and power distribution systems.
