Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrumentation-Electrical (I&E) Technician to diagnose, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain instrument and electrical systems, PLCs, and DCS hardware.

The role requires an associate degree in industrial electrical/electronic tech and five years of related experience, with ability to read complex schematics and work in a high-voltage environment. Competitive total rewards and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in industrial electrical/electronic technology.
• Five years of industrial Instrumentation-Electrical Maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical/electronic/hydraulic/pneumatic drawings and schematics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs and CNCs.
• Basic programming knowledge and ability to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot critical equipment on failure and diagnose issues.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC electronics and use test equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic drawings and manuals.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair PLC and/or DCS hardware, software and controls.
• Repair motors and control circuits, maintain MCC and power distribution.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and high-voltage wiring tasks.
• Move, set up, and install equipment; operate aerial work platforms.
• Work safely according to company policies and procedures.
