Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrument Mechanic to install, calibrate, configure, program and repair control valves, PLC/DCS equipment, and related instrumentation. The role involves preventative and corrective maintenance, working with operators, contractors and vendors to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and an associates degree in instrumentation, with 2+ years of industry troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of troubleshooting as an instrumentation technician in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance calibration, installation, fault diagnosis and repair of instrumentation and control valves.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/DCS and related computer workstations for reliable plant operation.
• Work with a range of instruments: pH, conductivity, ultrasonic, radar, mass flow, RTD, etc.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, P&ID’s and document equipment history.
• Provide daily support to plant operations and be available for overtime and on-call as needed.
