Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Instrumentation & Controls) to lead preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, calibration and troubleshooting of power plant equipment. You will coordinate work in assigned areas with Plant Operations and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires a strong technical background, at least 8 years in power plant I&C maintenance or an engineering/related degree with experience, leadership, and the ability to guide a team through

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in power plant I&C maintenance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field with 6+ years in a related role.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of equipment and systems in assigned areas.
• Embrace preventive and predictive maintenance using work management systems.
• Manage work backlog to ensure timely maintenance and workforce productivity.
• Lead emergency response efforts during weather events or incidents.
• Coordinate with Plant Operations – scheduling, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, start-up.
• Perform field inspections and guide technicians toward repairs.
