Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Columbus, Ohio. The intern will assist with standard engineering tasks, update designs, and support lead engineers on projects across Global Facilities.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork. Candidates should be enrolled in an accredited engineering program with a minimum GPA; ABET is preferred and U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a qualifying post-secondary program with good standing.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Prior internship or consulting experience is a plus.
• Active involvement in campus or community activities; strong communication.
• Self-motivated with leadership potential; able to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and design updates.
• Contribute to standard design of engineering systems.
• Support data collection, analysis and reporting as needed.
