Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Akron, Ohio seeks an Engineering Intern to support Environmental and Civil engineering tasks under supervision. The role involves assisting with design updates, data entry, and project documentation while applying standard engineering techniques.

Qualifications include pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, ABET accreditation preferred, a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
