Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Columbus, OH to apply standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers, and support design updates across projects. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree, ABET accreditation preferred, and maintain a 3.0 GPA, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education/technical program related to the department work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active involvement in campus/community/volunteer activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner with aptitude to grow in the field.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and design updates.
