Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an Engineering Intern in Atlanta to assist with standard engineering design tasks, update designs, and support lead engineers across market segments. The role focuses on construction phase services within the design-build process, with exposure to safety, estimating, field operations, and project management.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, maintaining a 3.0 GPA, and authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related experience preferred.
• Involvement on campus or in the community.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks requiring application of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and update designs as needed.
• Support construction phase services and related activities across market segments (Construction).
