Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Minneapolis/St Paul, MN is seeking an Engineering Intern to apply standard engineering techniques and assist in design updates across market segments.

The Construction group supports design-build, field operations, safety, estimating, pre-construction and quality control, with varied project duties.

Candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Construction Management or Engineering, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related experience preferred.
• Involvement on campus or in the community.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques to assist design and update systems.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties across market segments.
• Contribute to safety, health, estimating, field operations, and quality control in Construction.
• Participate in internal reviews and documentation.
