Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Richland, WA. You’ll support lead engineers with design, data entry, documentation, and presentation tasks across Aviation & Federal markets.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning and contribution to ongoing projects in a corporate engineering environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree (ABET preferred), maintaining a 3.0 GPA, and are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program (ABET preferred).
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education or technical certificate program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Involved in campus/community activities; strong communication skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns and research project solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
