Job summary

Wake Technical Community College seeks to expand its pool of part-time faculty to teach in various courses in Continuing Education Services. Adjunct positions are part-time and temporary; applicants may be contacted in the future after qualifications are reviewed.

Responsibilities include preparing instruction with clear learning objectives, developing course materials, guiding the class, using formative assessments, maintaining records and communicating with the course committee.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements vary by subject area.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products.

• Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour.

• Maintains communication with course committee instructors and participates in instructional discussions.
• Remains up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technology.
• Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance.
• Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Grades and returns student work in a timely manner.
• Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course.
• Supports the Department, Division, and College goals, providing requesting data in a timely manner.
