Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Basic Law Enforcement training courses through Continuing Education Services on a part-time basis.
Openings may be available after a review of qualifications; instructors must deliver instruction, design curriculum, maintain records, and stay current with law enforcement standards. Certification as a NC Law Enforcement Instructor is required, with teaching experience preferred.

Adjunct faculty positions provide quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis.

Uses formative and summative assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching
Designs curriculum
Maintains communication with course committee instructors and participates in instructional discussions
Remains up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technology
Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
Grades and returns student work in a timely manner
Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course
Supports the Department, Division, and College goals, providing requesting data in a timely manner

Demonstrated history of successful teaching outcomes in related educational environments.
Read, understand, and interpret operating procedures and to communicate orally and in writing.
Motivational and organizational skills.
Critical Thinking Skills.
Knowledge of presentation techniques incorporating various kinds of media production.
Certified North Carolina Law Enforcement Instructor. Certification must be through the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards or North Carolina Sheriff's Education Training and Standards
