Job summary

Fulton Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist teachers and students in a classroom or media center. You will prepare materials, work with students in small groups, reinforce learning objectives, and support daily routines.

Duties include library and media center tasks, circulating materials, assisting with displays and technology resources. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, ability to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate, 0–1 year experience, and lifting up to 50

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• GACE para assessment or 60 semester hours/90 quarter hours with grade C or better; an Associate's Degree or higher is acceptable.
• Must be able to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate.
• 0-1 year experience preferred.
• Proficiency in language of instruction for Dual Immersion program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparation of educational materials.
• Work with students in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines including attendance, supplies, and grading quizzes as assigned.
• Participate in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Assist with bulletin boards and learning centers.
• Monitor library use and assist with media/technology resources.
• Assist with inventory, displays, and media productions.
• Circulate and manage student devices; maintain reports on overdue items.
• Staff circulation desk and use Destiny Library Manager.
• Direct student assistants in assigned duties.
• Maintain orderly arrangement of materials and furnishings.
