Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to assist in classroom or media center settings, supporting students and staff with instructional tasks and daily routines.

The role involves individualized or small-group assistance, materials prep, attendance, grading quizzes, and supervision duties. A high school diploma or GED, and eligibility to obtain a Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate are required, with 0–1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or higher education credits as specified.
• Pass the GACE para assessment or have the listed college hours/degree.
• Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate or ability to obtain.
• 0–1 year of relevant classroom experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Support daily routines: distribute/collect supplies, take attendance, grade quizzes as assigned.
• Participate in lunch/recess/hall monitors and bus duties.
• Prepare and maintain bulletin boards and learning centers for instruction.
• Complete required training related to the Dual Immersion Model if applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator.
