Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students and staff in a classroom or media center setting in Atlanta, GA. The role includes assisting with materials, small-group instruction, attendance, library tasks, and tech resources; training in Dual Immersion may be provided.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is able to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional certification, and can follow instructions accurately with strong communication and organizational

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Georgia PSC Paraprofessional cert needed.
• Pass the GACE para assessment or equivalent college hours/degree.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Work individually with students and/or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines: distribute/collect supplies, take attendance, and grade quizzes as assigned.
• Support lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Maintain bulletin boards and learning centers; organize media resources.
• Assist with circulating and checking out media materials using Destiny Library Manager.
• Generate and maintain reports on overdue/lost books and fines.
