Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the GACE para assessment; or 60 sem. hours/90 quarter hours with C or better; an Associate's degree or higher is acceptable.
• Must be able to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate.
• 0–1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines: distribute/collect supplies, take attendance, grade quizzes as assigned.
• Support lunchroom, recess, hall monitoring, and bus duties.
• Maintain bulletin boards and learning centers for instruction.
• Assist students with media/library resources and technology materials.
• Inventory media center materials and process new items.
• Circulate materials using Destiny Library Manager and assist in reporting overdue or lost books.
