Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; GACE para or 60 sem hrs/90 qtr hrs with grade C or better acceptable.
• Associate degree or higher at GaPSC-accepted institution acceptable.
• Proven classroom experience and ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines: distribute/collect supplies, attendance, grading quizzes.
• Support in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Maintain bulletin boards and learning centers; assist with media resources.
• Monitor library use and help students with media/technology resources.
• Inventory media center materials and assist with displays and exhibits.
• Education: staff circulation desk and Destiny Library Manager operations.
• Direct student assistants in assigned duties and maintain orderly materials.
• Participate in training related to Dual Immersion Model if applicable.
