Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking an Instructional Support Paraprofessional to assist teachers and specialized staff in school-based settings for the 2026-2027 school year. You will support students with diverse needs, provide one-on-one or small-group help, and reinforce classroom instruction to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

Ideal candidates have experience with children or individuals with special needs, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
• Previous ABA experience preferred.
• Ability to support students in both individual and group settings.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, small-group, and classroom-wide instructional support.
• Reinforce teacher-led lessons and classroom routines.
• Assist students with academic tasks and skill development.
• Support implementation of IEPs, accommodations, and modifications.
• Help students stay engaged and participate actively.
• Support development of academic, communication, social-emotional, and life skills.
• Utilize positive reinforcement and proactive behavior support strategies.
• Monitor student participation and behavior and report observations.
