Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking dedicated Instructional Support Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year to help students reach their full potential in a collaborative school environment.

As an Instructional Support Paraprofessional, you will work with teachers and special education staff to support students with diverse needs, providing targeted academic and behavioral support in both general and special education settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of Para Experience.
• ParaPro Certification.
• Experience with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs.
• Ability to follow instructional plans and maintain confidentiality.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, small-group, and classroom-wide instructional support.
• Reinforce teacher-led lessons, instructional activities, and classroom routines.
• Assist students with academic tasks and skill development activities.
• Support implementation of IEPs, accommodations, and classroom modifications as directed.
• Help students remain engaged, focused, and actively participating in classroom activities.
• Support development of academic, communication, social-emotional, organizational, and functional life skills.
• Utilize positive reinforcement and proactive behavior support strategies.
• Monitor student participation, progress, and behavior and communicate observations to the school team.
• Assist with preparation of classroom materials and learning activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, administrators, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records.
