IDEA Public Schools seeks an Assistant Principal of Instruction to lead, coach, and develop teachers and drive student progress toward college readiness. You will monitor progress, guide curriculum and instruction, and support school improvement with high expectations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred, and at least 3 years of full-time teaching with leadership experience. A competitive salary and performance bonus accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience.
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required.
• Proven track record of achieving success in the K-12 setting.
• Experience managing/coaching others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Focus on IDEA’s core purpose to get all students into college.
• Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable and ambitious results.
• Coach teachers through daily observations and feedback.
• Oversee TEKS-based curricula and assessments to meet expectations.
• Review lesson plans and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate student progress with families and stakeholders.
• Help shape a school-wide culture fostering learning and growth.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins and school events.
