Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas is seeking an IDEA Assistant Principal of Instruction (API) to coach and develop teachers and drive ambitious student outcomes. The role emphasizes monitoring progress to ensure ALL students stay on-track for college and to lead instructional teams toward high expectations.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), 3+ years of full-time teaching, and proven leadership or administrative experience with a track record of improving student

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience.
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required.
• Proven track record of achieving success in the K-12 setting.
• Experience managing/coaching others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Focus on IDEA’s core purpose to get all students into college.
• Hold high expectations for self and others to achieve and surpass goals.
• Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable and ambitious results.
• Lead instructional staff to improve teaching through daily observations and coaching.
• Supervise TEKS-based IDEA curricula and assessments to meet expectations.
• Review teachers’ weekly lesson plans and provide feedback.
