Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Assistant Principal of Instruction to coach and develop teachers, monitor student progress, and ensure all students stay on track for college admission. The role emphasizes instructional leadership, TEKS alignment, and data-driven coaching in a high-expectation K-12 setting.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), at least 3 years of full-time teaching, and prior teacher leadership or admin experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Experience: At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required
• Proven track record of achieving success in the K-12 setting
• Experience managing/coaching others preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable and ambitious results
• Lead instructional staff to improve teaching through daily observations, coaching, data conversations and evaluations
• Oversee TEKS-based curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations
• Review teachers’ weekly lesson plans and provide feedback
• Communicate student progress with families and maintain trust with communities
