Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Assistant Principal of Instruction (API) to lead instructional improvement at the school level. You will coach teachers, monitor student progress toward college readiness, and ensure alignment with IDEA’s mission to place all students on a college track.

This grant-funded role supports Title I programs, with responsibilities including teacher development, data-driven planning, and collaboration with families and staff to sustain high achievement for diverse student

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience.
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required.
• Proven track record of success in K-12 settings.

Responsibilities

• Focus on getting all students into college and maintaining high expectations.
• Lead instructional staff via observations, coaching, data conversations, and evaluations.
• Oversee state assessments and IDEA curricula to meet ambitious goals.
• Review weekly lesson plans and provide actionable feedback.
• Communicate student progress with students and families.
