Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal of Instruction (API) to lead instructional practices and coach teachers toward ambitious student outcomes. The API will monitor student progress to ensure all students stay on track for college and collaborate with the campus leadership to implement data-driven strategies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of full-time teaching and prior teacher leadership or administrative experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required
• Proven track record of success in the K-12 setting
• Experience managing/coaching others preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable and ambitious results
• Collaborate with Principal to manage teachers and ensure campus expectations
• Monitor student progress and communicate with families
• Track and analyze data to develop strategies for quantifiable goals
• Ensure TEKS-based curricula and assessments are implemented
• Oversee campus-based tutoring and school-wide initiatives
