Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal of Instruction (API) to lead, coach, and develop teachers toward ambitious student outcomes. This role focuses on monitoring progress, supporting campus leadership, and ensuring instruction aligns with IDEA’s college-ready standards.

The API will work closely with the Principal to drive instructional leadership, data-driven decision making, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience.
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required.
• Proven track record of achieving success in the K-12 setting.
• Experience managing/coaching others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable results.
• Work with Principal to manage portfolio of teachers and ensure campus expectations.
• Onboard new teachers and provide ongoing coaching and evaluations.
• Ensure TEKS-based curricula and assessments meet ambitious academic goals.
• Communicate student progress with families and maintain partnerships with communities.
