Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in San Antonio, TX seeks an IDEA Assistant Principal of Instruction (APIs) to lead instructional staff, coach teachers, and drive college readiness for all students. You will supervise curricula, mentor teachers, analyze data, and foster a high-performance culture focused on student success.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred), 3+ years of teaching, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience.
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required.
• Proven track record of success in the K-12 setting.
• Experience managing/coaching others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable and ambitious results.
• Provide daily observations, on-the-spot coaching, data conversations, and effective evaluations.
• Supervise the implementation of TEKS-based IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Review teachers’ weekly lesson plans and provide feedback.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families.
• Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with families and students.
• Oversee campus-based tutoring sessions and school-wide meetings.
