Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Assistant Principal of Instruction (API) to guide instructional leadership at the campus level to ensure all students are on-track for college. The API will coach and develop teachers, monitor student progress, and lead data-driven improvement cycles.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), 3+ years of teaching, and prior teacher leadership or admin experience. A performance-driven culture and a strong collaboration mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience.
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required.
• Proven track record of achieving success in the K-12 setting.
• Experience coaching others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable results.
• Coach teachers on curriculum and instruction through observations and feedback.
• Supervise TEKS-based curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic goals.
• Review lesson plans and provide actionable feedback.
• Analyze data to develop strategies and drive student outcomes.
• Communicate progress with students and families.
