Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Assistant Principal of Instruction to lead and coach teachers toward ambitious student outcomes and college readiness. The role focuses on instructional leadership, data-driven decisions, and collaboration with staff to improve teaching quality and student achievement.

The API will monitor progress, support the development of teachers, and ensure alignment with IDEA’s mission of getting all students to college through strong curriculum and rigorous TEKS-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time teaching experience.
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required.
• Proven track record of success in the K-12 setting.
• Experience coaching others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Focus on improving college readiness outcomes for all students.
• Lead instructional staff to achieve ambitious results through coaching and evaluations.
• Oversee TEKS-aligned curricula and assessments and provide feedback on lesson plans.
• Synthesize data to develop strategies and monitor progress toward goals.
• Communicate student progress with families and establish trust-based relationships.
