Job summary

Hermès seeks an Institutional Press Manager in New York to support department strategy across Maison, Equestrian, and Institutional initiatives. You will coordinate press outreach, secure placements in top outlets, and track coverage, while partnering with Paris HQ to align with corporate goals.

Role emphasizes crisis comms readiness, CSR alignment, and event support from planning through execution, including travel and logistics for Maison & Equestrian events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–4 years of hands-on internship or similar experience.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Launchmetrics and Meltwater knowledge a plus.
• Experience in corporate/crisis communications a plus.
• Maison and equestrian media familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Director with all Maison, Equestrian, and Institutional requests and initiatives.
• Develop and execute strategic storytelling and editorial placements in top outlets to raise brand visibility.
• Track press coverage and flag issues to senior team and Paris HQ.
• Align press strategy with CSR and diversity & inclusion initiatives in partnership with the CSR team.
• Coordinate cross-functional planning for Maison moments and events.
• Manage press loan confirmations and collaborate with Showroom for smooth logistics.
• Cultivate relationships with Maison and Equestrian media contacts and regional outlets.
• Assist in developing press strategies and guest lists to support house objectives.
• Assist Director with Maison & Equestrian events, store openings, and Institutional projects.
• Arrange travel, hotels, experiences for Institutional, Maison, and Equestrian events.
