Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions is seeking an Installation Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade automated pedestrian doors. You will deliver reliable service and ensure customer satisfaction across sliding, swinging, and rotating door systems.

Responsibilities include following manufacturers’ procedures, documenting work, and maintaining safety standards. AAADM certification and a valid driver’s license are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in storefront/door installation or related industry.
• Must obtain AAADM certification within 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage wiring (120V).
• Experience with glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation per manufacturers’ procedures and specs.
• Document time, issues, shortages, and site conditions accurately.
• Maintain safety to protect self, coworkers, contractors, and the public.
• Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment when required.
• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repairs, and upgrades of automated doors.
• Diagnose issues involving electro‑mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and contractors.
• Participate in training programs and on‑call rotations after certification.
