Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions is seeking an Installation Technician to diagnose, repair, and upgrade a range of automated pedestrian doors. You will work on-site at customer locations, performing installations and maintenance while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

You will carry out documented reporting, collaborate with contractors, and participate in training to maintain AAADM certification and stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in storefront, glazing, doors, aluminum frames, or related installation work.
• Must be able to obtain AAADM certification within 6 months and maintain it.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical devices and low-voltage wiring.
• Comfort with lifting and physical work, climbing ladders, and using power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors according to manufacturer procedures.
• Document time, supply usage, and on-site conditions with clear reporting.
• Work safely to prevent accidents for yourself and others on site.
• Wear PPE and maintain tools in good condition.
• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repairs, and upgrades of automated doors at customer locations.
• Diagnose issues involving electro-mechanical devices and low-voltage circuits.
• Communicate professionally with customers, end-users, and contractors.
• Participate in training programs and on-call rotations after certification.
