Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions is seeking an Installation Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and upgrade a range of automated pedestrian doors. You will work with sliding, swinging, and rotating doors and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements include 3–5 years in door installation, AAADM certification within 6 months, a valid driver's license, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ direct storefront door installation or related industry experience.
• Must be 21+ and able to obtain AAADM certification within 6 months.
• Mechanical aptitude with electro‑mechanical repair experience.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage wiring.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation per manufacturers’ procedures and specifications.
• Document time spent and maintain proper job-site records.
• Work safely to prevent accidents for customers, co-workers, contractors, and the public.
• Wear PPE when necessary.
• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical devices.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and contractors.
• Participate in training programs.
• Participate in on-call rotations after certification.
