Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Elementary-focused learning center. The role centers on delivering targeted instruction to students with IEPs, designing personalized lessons, and coordinating with co-teachers to support diverse learning needs.

You will develop comprehensive lesson plans, utilize instructional software, and adapt content to meet individual objectives while maintaining PBIS-driven classroom culture and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field (required).
• IL professional educator credential in progress or obtained.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiating instruction in special education.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs, designing personalized learning experiences.
• Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curriculum resources and educational software.
• Create comprehensive lesson plans and schedules aligned to standards.
• Maintain organized, safe, and welcoming classrooms and manage supplies/resources.
• Track student progress and generate reports detailing achievements and activities.
• Provide differentiated instruction individually or in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
• Adapt curricula to diverse learning styles and coach staff on differentiation methods.
• Support school community with additional duties as assigned.
