Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education invites applications for a Special Education Teacher in an elementary setting. Lead instructional planning, deliver targeted instruction, and align activities with state standards within learning centers or classrooms.

Training includes implementing PBIS, differentiating instruction, and coordinating IEP goals with a collaborative team to support at‑risk students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Licensed IL educator (PEL) or in process.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in progress.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
• Experience with IEPs and special education.

Responsibilities

• Create inclusive, collaborative learning environment with stakeholders.
• Implement PBIS strategies and behavior expectations.
• Track student progress and generate reports on achievements.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in co-teaching settings.
• Adapt curricula for diverse learners and guide staff.
• Develop and implement IEPs and related interventions.
• Prepare detailed daily lesson plans aligned to standards.
