Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Special Education Teacher to lead instructional processes for elementary students with IEPs in our learning center or classroom. You’ll design personalized engagement, deliver differentiated instruction with innovative resources, and align plans with state standards.

You’ll collaborate with families, colleagues, and administrators, implement PBIS, track progress, and adapt content for diverse needs while maintaining thorough

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field.
• Active IL educator credential in process or achieved (PEL).
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or achieved.
• Certification in crisis management training in progress or obtained.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction.
• Experience with IEPs and enhanced needs for at‑risk students.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Design personalized learning experiences aligned with standards.
• Deliver targeted instruction using varied curricula and software.
• Develop detailed lesson plans and schedules.
• Maintain organized student files and progress reports.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and administrators.
• Implement PBIS strategies and classroom routines.
• Adhere to state and school standards in planning and delivery.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Manage caseloads and update IEP goals and interventions.
• Respond to evaluations and pursue ongoing professional growth.
• Perform additional duties to support the program.
